The Hubbell Skycap that is a spun aluminum reflector that replaces the standard prismatic refractor, turning any existing Dusk to Dawn into a full-cutoff light with exceptional optical properties. Because the bulb is mounted vertically, almost all of the light leaving the bulb reflects off the inner surface of the reflector before reaching the ground. What results is an exceptionally uniform and wide distribution of light on the ground. At a standard mounting height of 25 feet, the Hubbell Skycap effectively lights an area 200 feet in diameter. Glare is greatly reduced and direct uplight is totally eliminated. Light trespass onto adjacent properties usually becomes a thing of the past. Light levels on the ground are increased by up to 130% (45% on average), so a 70W HPS lamp is plenty adequate for most applications
